Our Leadership

The people behind Firebrand Electric — Sonoma County residents, Tubbs fire survivors, and dedicated professionals committed to powering our community.

Steve Rahmn, Jr.

Steve Rahmn, Jr. President

Steve Rahmn, Jr. is President and co-founder of Firebrand Electric. He has over 30 years of experience in the electrical industry. Most recently he was Project Manager for a large electrical contractor where he managed challenging multi-million-dollar projects throughout the Bay Area. Previously he spent over 25 years working for a local electrical contractor, overseeing both industrial and residential projects throughout Sonoma County. His vast electrical and construction knowledge, commitment to excellence, and passion for delivering outstanding customer satisfaction is what makes him a valuable and successful member of the Firebrand team.

Steve is a 35-year resident of Santa Rosa and a third-generation electrician with strong ties to the community. As a survivor of the Tubbs fire in 2017, he knows first-hand the trauma of losing his home and the challenges of rebuilding homes and lives at the same time. As a result of this experience, followed by the common occurrence of power outages, Steve is dedicated to providing residents security and peace of mind by supplying backup electrical systems for their homes and businesses.

In his spare time, Steve is volunteer President of nonprofit Coffey Strong, offering his expertise in construction protocol to neighbors who lost their homes, organizing common area projects, and raising funds to rebuild his fire-devastated neighborhood of Coffey Park.

Chris Cornilsen

Chris Cornilsen Chief Operating Officer

Chris Cornilsen is the Chief Operating Officer of Firebrand Electric. He is a Sonoma County native and has spent his entire career living and working locally, gaining a deep understanding of how to support small businesses in Sonoma County. After graduating from Cloverdale High, he moved to Santa Rosa and attended Santa Rosa Junior College. Opting for a hands-on career, Chris began his electrical apprenticeship, working with a large Sonoma County contractor. As he gained experience in the electrical field, he progressed from Journeyman to Foreman, overseeing several million-dollar projects at Sonoma State University, Medtronic AVE, and various local public works jobs.

Following the destruction of his home in the 2017 Tubbs fire, Chris took a leave of absence to work with a general contractor to rebuild his home. Upon completing the construction, Chris founded Volterra Electric and successfully managed the company until he merged it with Firebrand to establish a new company focused on handling larger and more complex projects.

Apart from work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife Michelle and their twins Delainey and Domenico. They enjoy camping, hiking, and traveling, and Chris enjoys exploring Sonoma County's abundant food, wine, and music scene.
